Before we get to the point, do you know about Eddie Munson? Well, let’s discuss it first.
Who is Eddie Munson in Stranger Things Season 4?
Eddie Munson is not so popular student at Hawkins High School but he’s a D&D master of his D&D club and a perfect guitarist.
Most of the students of Hawkins High think Eddie is weird and so they used to call “Eddie Munson” a freak.
However, Eddie is the perfect company for Junior High School students just like Mike Wheeler, Dustin Henderson, Lucas Sinclair, and Erica Sinclair.
Eddie with his squad used to play D&D every week after school.
He was first unaware of Hawkin’s dark & supernatural secrets until his friends Dustin & Mike told him about the same after he saw what frightfully happens to Chrissy.
In Volume 2, at the end of Stranger Things Season 4, Eddie Munson has a solo with his electric guitar in upside down for the sake of attracting demobats so that Steve Harrington, Nancy Wheeler & Robin Buckley can enter Creel House to fight & kill Vecna when he’s busy hunting Max Mayfield.
Eddie Munson returns as Kas the Bloody-Handed
As we discussed above, Stranger Things from season 1 to season 4 has many crossovers from D&D (Dungeons & Dragons) like Upside Down, Demogorgons, Mindflayer & Vecna.
Kas the Bloody-Handed was Vecna’s loyal sidekick in the D&D world for many centuries. Kas’ sword, on the other hand, was extremely powerful (very similar to one of the rings in LOTR). Kas was eventually overwhelmed by this powerful sword and decided to destroy Vecna’s Tower.
He was literally flung across the dimension and onto the Plane of Ash as he destroyed the tower. Kas (now known as Kas the Destroyer) became a vampire after spending centuries on this plane.
One of his main abilities is to control and use bats in his attacks which ultimately points to the power Eddie will get if he returns as Kas the Bloody-Handed.
Think once: “How cool would it be if Eddie could command the bats that killed him?”
This fan theory seems real as the Duffer Brothers once said in an interview that “You cannot die from the demobat’s bite” also the people of Hawkins aren’t aware of the fact that Eddie Munson isn’t a killer who killed Chrissy Cunningham.
That’s why he may probably return as Kas and can become the ultimate weapon in defeating Vecna.
